LHM Foundation Announces January 2026 Launch of Horizons Transitional Housing Program

LHM Social Services Foundation is excited to announce that it will open the doors of its Horizons transitional housing program in January 2026. “We are beyond thrilled that we will be able to begin serving unhoused individuals and families early in the new year,” said Amy Foerster, LHM Foundation’s CEO. “We would not have reached this pivotal moment so quickly were it not for the generous support of our donors and community partners.”

This announcement follows the launch of LHM Foundation’s Expanding Horizons fundraising campaign in November 2004. The effort, which is ongoing, seeks to raise resources to support the program’s operations well into the future.

LHM Foundation’s Horizons transitional housing program will serve those facing homelessness in South Central Pennsylvania, providing individualized services designed to help participants overcome their barriers to housing security while living in a supportive residential community. With the security of a safe living environment, participants can better focus on their path towards transitioning to stable housing upon program completion.

“LHM Foundation was formed with a vision to fill unmet needs in our communities, particularly with respect to homelessness,” said Luke Drayer, the Foundation’s Board Chair. “I feel blessed to witness that vision moving closer to becoming a reality.”

Renovations have begun in the 42,000 square foot facility that will be home to the Horizons program. LHM Foundation will continue to share updates in its monthly newsletter and on social media as the January 2026 launch date approaches.
