Job Summary:
Primary function is to act as liaison between the Foundation and the community regarding hospice care and LHM Foundation’s hospice program. Responsibilities include development and promotion of hospice programs and services, in collaboration with the Executive Director and other members of the hospice team, by creating new and growing existing relationships with hospice partners.
Duties:
· Establish internal and external relationships of mutual trust and respect, including with physicians, skilled nursing facilities and other sources of hospice patient referrals.
· Advise hospice colleagues regarding needs of the community.
· Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of, and ensure compliance with, all local, state and federal laws and ethical standards relating to hospice marketing.
· Assist in development and ongoing evaluation of hospice outreach programs in collaboration with other members of the hospice team. · Partner with the Interdisciplinary Group/Team to support safe and effective patient/family care.
· Provide input into the Foundation’s public communications program as it relates to the hospice program to help foster good working relations with physicians, agencies, and prospective patients/families.
· Provide education in the field (e.g., at hospitals and nursing facilities) to families and others considering hospice care.
· Participates in the Foundation’s hospice QAPI program.
· Promote the Foundation’s hospice philosophy and administrative policies to ensure quality of care.
· Ability to travel throughout central Pennsylvania and work a flexible schedule.
· Ability to organize and prioritize workload. · Detail oriented and able to multi-task.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university preferred.
· At least 5 years’ experience in healthcare with hospice and/or marketing experience preferred.
· Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all segments of the public, referral sources, LHM Foundation colleagues, the Governing Body and all other stakeholders.
· Familiarity with legal requirements and ethical standards relating to healthcare marketing preferred.
· Ability to remain professional and courteous in a fast-paced and sometimes high-pressure environment.
· Enjoy being busy and productive while focused on patient care and staff development in a fast-paced environment.
· Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and patient service environment.
